Learning Outcomes


  • The student must be able to distinguish what the sociological perspective brings to knowledge; how sociologists provide group level variables to explain individual,group, cultural and societal attitudes and behavior.

  • At this point the student has acquired adequate knowledge of sociology to teach in community colleges or pursue the PhD. They should show facility of concepts, measures, how to conduct research, how to incorporate theory, and how to write a research report or article.
